The opening hours are 11 am -10 pm from Sundays to Thursdays and 11 am -11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. They are closed on Mondays.

History of Squan Tavern

Squan Tavern started off as a bar where pizza and sandwiches were served from a small corner by Dominic and Marguerite, in 1964. Dominic’s parents had been in the restaurant business most of their lives, and Dominic had not only gotten their recipes but also their commitment to quality and service.

As the food started to gain a loyal following, they began to expand their small business, and in 1969, they expanded into what is now the main dining room and built the current kitchen. In 1975, they bought out the owners of the bar and the Squan Tavern was theirs.

The Squan Tavern has been managed by family members since then after the retirement of Dominic and Marguerite in the fall of 2019 and subsequent generations like Dominic The Third have embraced that tradition while developing their own unique and creative style.

At Squan Tavern, there are provisions for gift cards which you can give your loved ones as a memento, there are also catering options available.
