Pine Barrens Golf Club is located in the beautiful Jackson Township in the state of New Jersey. The golf club is a premier private golf club, it has over 420 acres of natural terrain, it also has a classic clubhouse that hosts special events.
History of Pine Golf Club
The Pine Barrens Golf Club was formed in the year 1988, it started as a pay-and-play facility, until ten years later when it became a privately owned property. The course was designed by Eric Bergstol of Empire Golf management. The course has a 7,118-yard layout confined in a 426-acre wooded property in Jackson, New Jersey, it is also very close in proximity to the New Jersey wildlife and game refuge.
The Golf Club has in the past been selected and has actually hosted some big events and tournaments. These events are namely; the US open local qualifier in 2001, the US Kids World Championship qualifiers from 2006 to 2009. The Pine Barrens Golf Club also hosted the NJPGA match play championship, in 2008, the NJ state Golf Association mid qualifiers in the year 2009, and lastly the WMGA best ball of 4, A-B Tournament in the year 2009 respectively.
Facilities at the Golf Club.
The Pine Barrens Golf Club is world-class. It possesses 420 acres of beautiful terrain, all-natural. The bent green grass is averagely over 7,500 square and feet. The holes were designed to accommodate playing abilities ranging from 5100 to 7125 yards. The course specs include an 18 hole, par 72 design on the 420 acres, bentgrass practice area with nine target greens, one chipping, and bunk practice green, a lot of pine trees, scrub oaks, mountain laurel, holly trees, and berry trees.
The clubhouse at the Pine Barrens Golf Club is another beautiful facility, it is an American cabin designed with timbers, a stone fireplace, and the scented smell of cedar. A lounge, a bar, and a restaurant are a few of the facilities. The Pine Barrens Golf Club also has a golf pro shop too as part of its numerous facilities, the shop has and sells golfing equipment, men and women golf apparel, and quality golf shoes.
It is a nice place to visit and it is near to many other great places like the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area, Tip Tam Camping Resort, Butterfly Camping Resort, Jackson Skating Center Rollermagic and the list continues!
