About the Ocean County Park
The Ocean County Park is open for only passive recreation. This beautiful facility in Lakewood has a thrilling history. The Ocean County Park at the initial time was a part of a vacation estate that belongs to Financier John D. Rockefeller.
Trees like White pine, Norway Spruces, Hemlock, and plenty of other trees were at the time imported from around the country by Rockefeller and planted at the estate. Pickleball courts, tennis courts, and open playfields driving range, and all are accessed at no cost to the members of the public. Adults and teenagers can also use the playgrounds or engage in swimming activities.
The park can be enjoyed both in the heat of the summer and cold winter weather. The park turns into a wonderland after a snowfall, the scenery is quite beautiful to behold. The park is also used for country skiing. The park does not charge members for using the park or its beaches or any of the other facilities available.
Facilities at the Ocean County Park include bike trails, driving ranges, cross country skiing, open playing fields, a large picnic area, playgrounds, restrooms, softball fields, swimming lake, tennis, and Pickleball courts, also available is an 18-hole disc golf course. Also available is a perimeter walking trail and an Ocean County park trail MP.
The Ocean County Park closes by 8 pm daily. The park has an accessible picnic facility big enough to contain lots of people. Reservations can be made for up to six hundred (600) individuals. Families, love birds, teenagers, and kids all troop to the venue to have quality time and fun.
Visitors and guests of the park are encouraged to keep the park clean and adhere to all rules and regulations at the park. Sundays are days where the park is mostly filled with people. The Ocean County Park is lined up by beautiful trees and the view it gives is absolutely amazing. The fresh air, the sunshine, the walks, ball games, and Frisbees are also played at the park. Food items are prohibited.
