Belmar beach, featuring a boardwalk, runs from 1st to 20th Avenues located on Ocean Avenue, Borough of Belmar. It is a beautiful place that offers many interesting attractions, shops, and eateries along the boardwalk, as well as fun along the extensive stretch of beach. Belmar takes pride in providing clean, safe, and enjoyable beaches for all types of families. Belmar beach features playgrounds that were designed with children’s enjoyment and safety in mind, and the playgrounds are great places for the entire family to enjoy.

Belmar beach features a 1.3-mile long boardwalk that offers a scenic view of the Atlantic Ocean. The boardwalk is well-kept, and no bikes, dogs, or skates are allowed. Restrictions at the beach also prohibit smoking and alcohol on the beach. It is also one of New Jersey’s most accessible beaches. Belmar was among the first municipalities to install Mobi-Mats on many of their beaches. Mobi-Mats are hard surface ramps that run the length of the beachfront, providing universal access for anyone using a wheelchair, walking aids, or a baby stroller.

D’jais Oceanview Bar & cafe, ShoreBreak Grill, Playa Bowls Takeout, Mamalukes Pizza & Icecream, and Jimmy’s On The Beach are some of the places along the beach’s boardwalk where you can grab a bite. Other attractions in Belmar Beach include Belmar Fishing Club, Belmar Pirate Playground, Mayfair Hotel, and Eastern Line Surf Shop.

To access Belmar Beach, beach badges are required. The badges can be purchased at Borough Hall or the Taylor Pavilion. The sale of badges starts at 9:00 a.m daily. The cost of a daily badge is $9 per day (children 15 and under are free). Seasonal badges are available for $70 and $30 for senior citizens 65 and older with proof of age.
