Historic Allaire Village

The historic village earlier known as the Howell Works in the 19th-century, is one of the attractions in Allaire State Park Campground. At that time, the historic village was a thriving industrial community that produced cast iron & pigs. The buildings today, include a blacksmith shop, a church,  a carpenter’s shop, a general store, & a foreman’s house. One of the staffers’ row house buildings is now the Allaire Museum & Visitor Center.

The historic village is operated by a non-profit group independent of the park, sponsors various programs & events yearly, including living history events, arts & craft shows.

Camping facilities are provided for family or group outings in attractive wooded settings adjacent to the village, Charcoal grills, tables, fire ring & sanitary facilities.
