About Playa Bowls
Playa Bowls, situated between 8th & 9th, 803 Ocean Avenue, Belmar, was founded by Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor. They are both Jersey shore natives and surfers who wanted to make their favorite recipes at home but with a twist. They made a deal with a pizza shop owner, bought a patio table, a fridge, and a freezer and that was how the Playa Bowls concept was born. The name “Playa” is a Spanish word for beach, so “Playa Bowls” interprets as “Beach Bowls”.
Things to find at Playa Bowls
The Playa Bowls menu includes seven (7) different bases; acai, pitaya, coconut, greens, chia pudding, banana, and oatmeal. Under every base category, different fruit options are provided. For example, under the acai category, the first option is “8th Ave”, which has acai, granola, banana, and honey. Next, the Pura Vida is made up of acai, granola, strawberries, blueberries, and honey. Smoothies and juice are also served at Playa Bowls.
Playa Bowls offers catering services that allow them to cater for your events with their special packages. The catering packages are perfect for a holiday gathering, office treat, or breakfast. Playa Bowls has you covered no matter how big or small your group is.
These packages include a “Build Your Own Bowl” option, allowing everyone to get exactly what they want. You choose the base, three fruits, and two drizzles and you are provided with everything else you need to make the perfect Playa Bowl anywhere. A Signature Blueberry Flax Granola, serving spoons and tongs, as well as bowls, spoons, and napkins for everyone are included in each package. Package sizes range from a 10 person package (1 base, 3 fruits, 2 drizzles, and playanola) to a 100 persons package (10 bases, 3 fruits, 6 drizzles, and playanola).
